Moore & Medina Win 2023 WSL Margret River Pro!

Did you catch the Margaret River Pro 2023? If not, don't worry, I'm here to give you the lowdown on all the epic action that went down.


First things first, let's talk about the waves. The Margaret River region of Western Australia is known for its big, powerful waves, and this year was no exception. The surfers were treated to some pumping 6ft + conditions, which made for some exciting entertainment!

Carissa Moore from Hawaii absolutely dominated, showing off her powerful and stylish surfing to take out the event. Moore's victory sees her move into second place in the rankings, hot on the heels of current world number one, Tyler Wright, who came 2nd to Carissa in the event.

Gabriel Medina, the Brazilian superstar put on an absolute clinic throughout the competition, showcasing his signature high-performance style. It was no surprise when he took out the event, battling it out in the final with Australian Griffin Colapinto, who put Medina against the ropes. Medina's win puts him in a strong position in the race for the 2023 WSL World Championship title, and we can't wait to see what he'll bring to the rest of the season!
